Abstract

This article examines the challenges and opportunities faced by feminist women entrepreneurs in India's tourism industry, with a focus on the originality of their business approaches. While the industry offers substantial economic potential, women entrepreneurs often encounter structural barriers related to gender, such as discrimination, unequal access to resources, and social stereotypes. However, they also discover various opportunities for innovation and empowerment, including sustainable business practices, community-based empowerment, and the promotion of gender-inclusive tourism. Through an analysis of these entrepreneurs' experiences, this article highlights how they not only overcome barriers but also create original and progressive business models, contributing to the development of a more inclusive and sustainable tourism industry in India. The study offers fresh insights into the role of feminist women entrepreneurs in leading social and economic change within the tourism sector.
